Smoked and Honey Glazed Garlic Ginger Short Ribs

The rich and decadent flavor of beef short ribs combines perfectly with garlic and ginger, and the honey glaze at the end brings it all together!

Ingredients

  • Beef Short Ribs
  • Garlic, 1-clove per rib
  • Ground Ginger
  • Kosher Salt
  • Coarse Ground Black Pepper
  • Honey
  • Sesame Oil (Can substitute olive oil or vegetable oil)
  • Butter

Directions

  1. Start your pellet grill or smoker and set it to 230F.
  2. Mince your garlic and place it in a small bowl.
  3. Add just enough oil to the garlic to coat your ribs.
  4. Remove the silver skin from your ribs and coat them in the garlic oil mixture.
  5. Apply a light layer of ground ginger, black pepper and kosher salt to the ribs.
  6. Place in smoker until they reach an internal temperature of 207F.
  7. While cooking prepare your honey glaze by placing equal parts of butter and honey into a small bowl and warming it in the microwave until the butter is melted.
  8. Thoroughly mix the honey butter sauce, and when the ribs reach 200F apply a light layer of glaze to the ribs.
  9. Remove the ribs when they reach 207F and allow them to rest for 10 minutes.
  10. Feel free to apply another layer of honey glaze during the rest period and enjoy your delicious smoked short ribs.
