St. Louis residents consume more BBQ sauce than any other city in the nation! That being said, there is a good reason why a traditional St. Louis style rub does not need to have too many ingredients. This rub has seven very simple components and it is straight forward, yet very delicious, with subtle spice, hints of coriander, and plenty of dark brown sugar.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon dry yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander
Directions
In a glass bowl combine all ingredients and whisk until fully incorporated. The rub is then ready for immediate us or can be stored, in an air tight container, for up to one year.
